Charges for Private Fertility Treatment 

Charges levied by the hospital once patients have had an initial consultation with medical consultant.

IUI AND DIUI 

 

NB    THESE CHARGES DO NOT INCLUDE DRUGS OR CONSULTANT FEES

If the treatment cycle is abandoned prior to IUI, the procedure charge will be refunded.

If the treatment cycle is abandoned prior to DIUI, the procedure charge, HFEA charge and sperm charge will be refunded.

 

IVF AND ICSI

NB   THESE CHARGES DO NOT INCLUDE DRUGS OR CONSULTANT FEES

NB   If the treatment cycle is abandoned prior to egg collection procedure and HFEA charge will be   refunded £1123.00 for IVF and £1752.00 for ICSI.   If no embryo transfer takes place because of OHSS and embryos are frozen the Centre will not charge for subsequent frozen embryo transfer.

FROZEN EMBRYO TRANSFER         £670.50

Includes scans, nursing care, admin, HFEA charge and procedure but not Mr Bentick's charge for   proceedure .   Therefore, if no embryos are suitable for transfer, the refund would be £295.00

**Blood tests will be charged separately by the Pathology Laboratory.  

***Donor sperm cost depends on availability.   The average cost is £1500, but for up to date costs, please contact the Donor Co-ordinator on 01743 261199.

The Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust is not responsible for Consultant charges.

You will be charged separately by the Consultant for consultations.                                                                                         

The consultant will also levy a personal fee for any procedure performed on a private basis.   These charges are subject to change, please refer to the Consultant for an up to date schedule of charges.

If any inpatient procedures are carried out the relevant inpatient/theatre charges will be applicable.   All charges for fertility exclude Drugs, Counselling and Consultant's fees,   except where stated.   The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust reserves the right to change prices without prior notification.   Blood tests will be charged separately by the pathology laboratory.   The Trust reserves the right to refuse treatment if payment is not received in advance.
