Fertility Investigations

When your GP refers you to see one of our specialists in infertility, either at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital or the Princess Royal Hospital (Telford), you will begin the process of testing and investigation. This is very important because it will allow us to work out the best way of treating you.

Female Investigations

When you have been referred by your GP you will be seen by the Fertility Nursing staff initially who will begin the process of investigations for you. Women have several different forms of testing, depending on the individual these include;

Male Investigations

All the investigations of the male are based on assessment of the production of adequate numbers of good quality sperm. Several tests may be carried out to achieve this. More information about these test is available on the following pages;
